Blast from the Past, Mentors to Many

Before AFP (or its former incarnations NSFR and NSFRE) had chapters in our region, a group of development officers formed their own networking and professional organization.  Circa 1983, shown here are members of that original group at a luncheon function that would eventually be considered Philanthropy Day. 

John Shafer (seated far right) and Frank Pasquini (standing far right) are still members of our local AFP chapter thirty years later and, as our most seasoned members, have provided countless hours of counsel and mentoring to dozens (or more!) of fundraising professionals through the years.

Dec 9 - Director of The Estate Society - Charitable Giving and Fundraising
The Director of The Estate Society shall provide logistical and project management support for all development activities related to planned giving. This position is responsible for managing the internal operations of the office of planned giving, including, but not limited to, administration of The Estate Society, the marketing program for planned giving, as well as prospect management and solicitations.
